American presidents from Lincoln to Obama have had their favorite magicians. Houdini was a favorite of both Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.  

But now, according to this feature from NBC, President Trump himself has been using magicians' tricks to deflect the attention of his audience - the American public.
