THAT MAGNIFICENT MAN IN HIS FLYING MACHINE

HOUDINI'S AIRPLANE (?) UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT VOISIN FACTORY 1907

On his excellent blog Wild About Harry, John Cox reports - with some skepticism - the factoid that Harry Houdini was the 25th person in the world to fly an airplane.

While researching a completely different Houdini story, we've run across corroboration. According to the records of the Frères Voisin Appareils d'Aviation, Houdini was indeed among the very first batch of Voisin owners and flyers.
