We don't really like to brag, but if we aren't out there for ourselves, who will be out there for us?
That's a sneaky way of stealing some of the limelight which properly belongs to Trigg Watson, seen here doing a magical graphic for the eatery formerly known as IHOP. We hope he sent them a bill....
We feel confident self-promoting here because a) Houdini did it; and, b) we believe we really initiated the practice of using magic as video graphics back when we worked as producer-director for CBS News and CNN. We were covering business and finance and instead of filming on the floor of the stock exchange we used magic - appearing coins, flash bills, etc. - to illustrate otherwise rather boring stories. It was a big hit. By keeping us steadily employed, it sent our children to college.
Seriously, did anyone really care that IHOP was changing its name to IHOB? Thanks to Trigg, it's gone viral.
We don't know if Trigg has our same recessive mercenary gene, but he has sure made a monetizeable piece of magic history with his lapkin techniques. Impoverished magicians - and you know who you are! - take note!
